Silicone Restoration Membrane
A silicone restoration membrane is a versatile and self-flashing silicone membrane material perfect for commercial roof renewal.
After the existing roof is repaired and clean, the silicone coating is applied on using a paint roller, sealing any imperfections, and adding a waterproof layer to your commercial roof.
Silicone Restoration Membrane Installation
Inspection and Repairs
First, perform our cleansing process on the roof surface using a power washer and a broom to remove any debris on the roof.
After the roof has been removed of any contaminants, we then do a roof inspection to reinforce the seams, flashings, prep joints, repairs, and fasteners with silicone caulk.
Silicone Application
Once all the miscellaneous repairs have been fulfilled to the existing roof system, the silicone membrane is roller applied over the entire surface of the roof. Various manufacturers require different coating thicknesses. In some cases, only a single layer is required, which reduces labor costs.
Benefits of a Silicone Restoration Membrane
Reduce Your Energy Costs
Part of the Energy Star® Cool Roof Solution, Solvent-Free Silicone Coatings help conserve energy and extend the life cycle of your roof. Using white silicone roof coating can save building energy use by as much as 15% to 35%.
Saves Money
Without the need to tear off the existing roof and replace it, you save money in labor and materials.
Considered Maintenance
Since an SRM is considered commercial roof maintenance, there is no need to tear it off in the future. In the US, a commercial facility can only have up to two roofs installed. Since an SRM is not considered a roof system, it doesn’t add to your current roof count and can be reapplied multiple times while staying within your building codes.
Eco-Friendly
You save materials and debris from going to landfills when you can keep the existing roof in place.
